King Henry I reaches an agreement with Archbishop Anselm to secure his return to England, but the peace is short-lived as Henry's campaign in Normandy leads him into a trap at the abbey of Saint-Pierre. Following the destruction of the abbey, Henry continues an aggressive military campaign, facing resistance from powerful commanders and conducting a siege at Tinchebray. The conflict escalates into a direct confrontation between Henry and his brother, Duke Robert. Using religious propaganda to frame Robert as unpious, Henry employs strategic maneuvers—including dismounting his knights—to achieve a decisive victory at the Battle of Tinchebray, resulting in the defeat and capture of Duke Robert.
